Congratulations on your expected arrival! Sharing the adventure of childbirth can be both exciting and mystifying. The more knowledge you have the less mystery there will be! I have been a certified childbirth educator and Doula since 1995, and have taught at the YWCA, privately, and at various hospitals.
“Help, my baby won’t sleep!” is a common phrase we hear often from new parents! This is a live webinar class. Come and learn the basics of baby’s awake and sleep patterns and what tools and resources are available to get your little one off to a good start. You’ll learn the groundwork for healthy sleep habits for your baby. You can take this class before your baby arrives, or after your baby is here.
- Science of newborn sleep
- Laying the groundwork for healthy sleep
- Recognizing sleepy cues
- Purple crying, the witching hour and colic
- Calm your fussy baby
- Tips to get your baby sleeping
- Sleep environment
- Sleep gear
- Q and A
Best Time to Take the Childbirth Series:
The recommendation for when to take the class is to have the series COMPLETED at least a month before your due date. (For example, take the month you are due in and subtract 2 months). That month would be the ideal month to take this class.
Registration:
You will receive a link prior to the webinar via email.
Fast and convenient registration can be done at www.austinchildbirth.com
We accept HSA and FSA health spending cards.
