Alicia Hermandez MD returns to her home state to practice
Alicia Hernandez MD received her bachelor’s degree in economics at Duke University. She went on to attend medical school at UT Health Science Center at Houston. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Hernandez moved to New York to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. After residency, Dr. Hernandez worked with a busy private practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan until her husband got a new job in Austin and she happily joined him back in her home state.
Dr. Hernandez’s focus is on High-risk obstetrics
Dr. Hernandez is a junior fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has a special interest in high-risk obstetrics and fertility. She looks forward to making Austin her new home and is excited to be joining Oakwood Women’s Centre.
When she is not working, Alicia Hernandez MD enjoys spending time with her two girls and her husband. She is an avid reader and enjoys swimming, baking and exploring her new home town.
