Misty Danielson WHNP works at our Austin OBGYN clinic to improve women’s lives

Misty Danielson WHNP has a strong passion for healthcare and improving the lives of women at every age and stage. That’s why she became a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner at our Austin OBGYN clinic.

All about Misty’s background in healthcare

Misty grew up in Minnesota, and she graduated from North Dakota State University Nursing School. During her time in nursing school, she was on the National Dean’s List and a member of Phi Eta Sigma.

In the fall of 1984, Misty moved to Austin. There, Misty Danielson WHNP began working in the cardiology unit at St. David’s Medical Center. She then spent five years working in the ICU before training in labor and delivery. She worked as a charge nurse in both areas.

In 1990, Misty joined Seton Medical Center in labor and delivery. While at Seton, she educated nursing staff in outlying hospitals. She taught childbirth classes for seven years with Renaissance Women’s Group.

Misty graduated from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner in 1998. She began working for Dr. Linda Litzinger in 1993 and did so until she discontinued her practice in October of 2008. Now, Misty enjoys working with Dr. Laura Meritt and Dr. Melanie Collins.

Misty Danielson WHNP balances work and family

She is recognized by the State of Texas as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Women’s Health
and is certified by the National Certification Corporation for Obstetrics, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties.

Misty is married and has two daughters. She enjoys running, movies, weekends in Port Aransas and spending time with her grandson and granddaughters.

She enjoys caring for women and their families and educating them to improve their quality of life with close collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Contact us to learn more.
