Board certified ObGyn, Vida Esfandiari, MD, cares for women of all ages. Vida Esfandiari, MD, FACOG, provides comprehensive ObGyn care for patients at Women Partners in Health. As an experienced Austin obgyn, she offers gynecology, obstetrics and surgical services. She comes to us after working in Houston at a high-volume private practice. She also served as the clinical site director at a federally qualified health center in Beaumont.
Vida Esfandiari, MD received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Baylor University in Waco, completing minors in Spanish and chemistry. During her undergraduate education, she was on the Dean’s Academic Honors List. She was a member of both the Golden Key Honor Society and Alpha Epsilon Delta National Health Pre-Professional Honor Society. She also received the Folmar Undergraduate Scholarship in Biology.
For medical school, our Austin obgyn moved to The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She received the Paul Brand International Medicine Scholarship, which provides funds for medical students to get additional medical experience through international travel. She used her scholarship to pursue a rotation in international medicine in Valour, India.
After medical school, Dr. Esfandiari completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Galveston at The University of Texas Medical Branch. She wrote an informational pamphlet for The University of Texas Medical Branch Beta Clinic that educated patients who were referred to the pregnancy clinic.
Highly trained and experienced, Dr. Esfandiari provides wellness care to help women optimize their health. She offers gynecology services and pregnancy care, including preconception planning, prenatal and postpartum care. She has a special interest in providing information about birth control options and has given a presentation to students to explain contraception.
When she is not helping women, our Austin ObGyn loves to travel, venturing to new places as often as she can. She also enjoys spending time relaxing at home with her dog.
